24th of July in Utah

It is this time and this place that matter--not some other time or place. What matters is here and now--the people here and now.
Had a great weekend being with family and friends celebrating when our families came into the wonderful valley!

The Beauty You Miss That Is Right Under Your Nose

I woke up today with the best feeling of being secure and loved. I got ready and went to my friend Jamie's house and chanted for 25 minutes and headed off to the office where Greg (my boss) and I head off to a meeting we had in Salem, Utah. The day was so amazing that we drove with the convertible top down to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. Neither of having been to Salem it was an adventure to be had. The valley out there was so beautiful tucked in the mountains of the Wasatch, full of the dark green colors from spring, it was truly breath taking. Then there was a site to bee seen for my eyes, it was the Krishna Temple so magnificent in all it's beauty. So after our meeting and getting back to work I deiced to do a little research. You can go any time and take tours they have free yoga classes and different festivals though out the year. I can wait to get to know this new culture and see all the wonders that the Temple offers.
It is so funny the way life works, I am just feeling blessed of all the things that are positive that surround me and reinforce that thing will be okay.
You gotta be careful if you don't know where you're going, otherwise you might not get there.!-:). When you come to a fork in the road, take it!-:) ~ Ali Mozaffari

Thoughts for The Day
Well it has been a bit since I have been here to post. I just wanted to give you some great quotes that I have read these past few days and a few thoughts that I have had. Everyday is of interest and you never know where life will take you. This past week has been quite amazing I was blessed enough to help someone in need and invited to a loving family.
For Today and Tomorrow
"Peace is not found somewhere far away. Peace is found where there is caring. Peace is found when you bring joy to your mother instead of suffering. Peace is found when you reach out and make an effort to understand and embrace someone who is different from you."

"Age is not an excuse for giving up. If you allow yourself to grow passive and draw back, it's a sign of personal defeat. There may be a retirement age at work, but there is no retirement age in life."Monday, April 27, 2009

Buddhism Day by Day
Wisdom for Modern Life by Daisaku Ikeda
Wednesday, April 15, 2009
Life and death are one, and the entity of our existence is eternal, persisting throughout past, present and future. The setting sun, radiant with joy, gives proof of its undiminished power and at the same time offers a promise of a bright tomorrow. Bringing our lives to a wonderful, satisfying close guarantees us the path to happiness throughout eternity.Wednesday, April 15, 2009
With everything going on the past two weeks hearing of close friends passing and seeing dear ones close to me losing loved ones, this came to me from a friend today. It is so true for me, although death is sad I believe there is more after we leave here. I am comforted by that belief and that all around I can find those who re-affirm that. Let us focus on what is to be grateful for and the cherished memories of those who we have loved and still continue to love. May your day be blessed today with all the wonder and enjoyment that life has to offer.
